Haven’t put a photo of this on for a while … added a few things, still a favourite room of mine. A Marie Antoinette room, it represents excess, hers and mine ?

Almost completed the new facade exterior, using the original brickwork as it’s a nice feature and well done, both I and more importantly the client like it. I have some railings to add and of course the window displays to build, but it’s coming on.

My new project, a shop which is a bit of a challenge, how to raise the ceiling heights from 8” to around 9 1/2” on each floor, so a rebuild pretty much. This and a new frontage. I can show you before and during, but no after yet as it’s a work in progress..

One for the boys…(and Jane Woodham)I have a garage, so have just completed a 1/12th car for it.. never again. I think I will stick to pink jobs in future..

An update on my 200 year old commission. I’m nearly there… the stairs took some work!

I have spent my day sanding and prepping my restoration, I think to restore you should compliment the original build, you can see a previous attempt at restoration/decoration which I’m having to undo. I mean really how much gloss paint do you need?

I am going bonkers drawing individual bricks on my latest commission, Flemish bond so it’s harder than usual. Here’s a before and during, it’s not finished yet though.. it’s coming on..

Restoration.. from some tiny pieces of the original, used as a template to hand make new mouldings, you can see before during and after.. Yes I know it may look a little basic, but it is an exact copy of what was there originally. Remember it’s 200 years old..

An update on a restoration. It is really important that I re use and repair as much of the original woodwork that I can on this 1800’s house. Where I have had to make new components I have used the originals as templates so they are an exact match. Nothing is glued in yet, I’m still building. My talented God father, Ron Barker has handmade the mouldings for this house for me as lots were missing, Thanks Ron. Xx
